Argo Group US, Inc. Acquires Renewal Rights of Lawyers' Professional Liability Book from OneBeacon

, an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products, announced today it has entered into a binding agreement with OneBeacon Insurance Group, Ltd. (“OneBeacon”) to purchase the renewal rights of OneBeacon's Lawyers' Professional Liability (LPL) book of business, effective January 1, 2015. Upon renewal of accounts, all OneBeacon LPL policies will be renewed and serviced by Argo Pro—a member of Argo Group that specializes in professional liability products and services, including Errors & Omissions and Management Liability. In conjunction with this acquisition, Kim Noble, product leader and select members of the Lawyers' Professional Liability Group at OneBeacon, will be joining Argo Pro. “This acquisition will expand our diverse professional lines capabilities in the U.S. marketplace and bring a broader portfolio of products to our brokers,” said Argo Group US President Kevin Rehnberg. “Kim and the LPL team members bring deep expertise and strong relationships in this market and we're excited to have them join the Argo team.” The LPL underwriting team will be located in Argo Pro's Chicago office at 225 W Washington.
