Gannett Co., Inc. GCI fell a bit Wednesday after the company offered a preview of results for its fourth quarter ending December 14.
The broadcasting and publishing company predicted fourth-quarter earnings of between $1 and $1.02 a share, compared to Wall Street's profit expectation of $1.02 a share on revenue of $1.7 billion.
Gannett said its fourth-quarter broadcasting revenue grew between 23 percent and 25 percent, but it didn't offer an estimate of results from its publishing unit.
Chief Executive Gracia Martore also said the company is on track for a mid-2015 spin-off of its publishing business, a move announced in August.
Gannett changed hands recently at $32.15, down 1.2 percent.
