expects to market a consumer helicopter drone next year equipped with its camera and priced between $500 and $1,000, according to The Wall Street Journal. http://online.wsj.com/articles/gopro-developing-line-of-consumer-drones-1417020883 GoPro, best-known for its wearable consumer cameras for action sports, recently gained more than 4 percent to $77.94 a share, and is up 146 percent since its initial public offering in June. GoPro declined to confirm the drone project, but told the Journal that it had joined the Washington, D.C.-based Small UAV Coalition, which lobbies for law and policy changes to permit the operation of small unmanned aerial vehicles for commercial, consumer, recreational and philanthropic purposes. http://www.smalluavcoalition.org/members/ Reputedly the world's largest consumer drone maker, SZ DJI Technology Co. recently added cameras to its product line up and sells them for $799, the Journal noted. https://store.dji.com/ GoPro last month posted revenue growth of 46 percent to to $280 million, while adjusted earnings of $0.12 cents a share beat analysts' expectations of $0.08 cents.
