US stock futures traded mostly flat in early pre-market trade The producer price index for October will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while the NAHB housing market index for November will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 1 point to 17,616.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures fell 1.30 points to 2,038.40. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index slipped 3.50 points to 4,208.75.

European markets were higher today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 1.05%, STOXX Europe 600 Index gaining 0.56%. German DAX 30 index jumped 1.21%, French CAC 40 Index climbed 0.74% and London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.50%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rose 2.18%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 1.13%, China's Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.71% and India's Sensex slipped 0.05%.
