US Stock Futures Surge Ahead Of Earnings, ADP Data

US stock futures traded higher in early pre-market trade. The ADP national employment report for October will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET, while the Markit PMI services index for October will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET. The ISM non-manufacturing index for October will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average jumped 56 points to 17,361.00, while the Standard & Poor's 500 index futures rose 7.40 points to 2,012.90. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 index climbed 19.75 points to 4,163.25.

European markets were mixed today, with the Spanish Ibex Index rising 0.95%, STOXX Europe 600 Index rising 1.09%. German DAX 30 index climbed 1.21%, French CAC 40 Index surged 1.27% and London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.90%. In Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumped 0.44%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index fell 0.63%, China's Shanghai Composite Index declined 0.47% and India's Sensex rose 0.20%. The HSBC China Services PMI fell to 52.9 in October versus 53.5 in September. The HSBC India Service Sector Business Activity Index dropped to 50.0 in October versus 51.6 in September.

Analysts at Pacific Crest downgraded TripAdvisor

from Outperform to Sector Perform and removed the price target of $109. TripAdvisor's shares fell 11.74% to $73.95 in pre-market trading.
