spiked higher Tuesday, on unconfirmed market chatter of a potential bid from Intel Corporation

. The rumored bid is $25 per share. A spokesperson for Intel declined comment. Nvidia did not immediately respond to a request for comment. NVIDIA closed Tuesday at $18.32, a gain of more than 4%.

Biomarin Mentioned as Potential Shire TargetThe Rumor

Shares of BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc.

rose Tuesday, following

comments from Adam Feuerstein

in a Street.com article that the company could be a takeover target of Shire plc

. Biomarin shares rose 5% Tuesday, to close at $74.71.
