alibaba Adds to Funding in Peel

Alibaba

is looking at add $50 million to a previous investment of $45 million in smart remote maker Peel. Peel has 90 million users for its app, which is a universal smart remote that can generate viewing suggestions based on habits. The new round of funding will look to upgrade to provide a social media aspect into the remote. Shares of BABA are currently up 1.25 percent at 89.40.
