. Loeb's Third Point LLC filing shows a new stake in the cloud services concern Rackspace Hosting Inc. (RAX) where 7.25 million shares. Rackspace gained 3 percent to $31.03 Thursday. Also new to Loeb's portfolio is a 45.6 million-share stake in auto lender Ally Financial Inc.

gained 2 percent Thursday to $66.02 a share. Loeb's filing revealed he owns 2 million shares -- up from zero in March. Also during the quarter, Loeb boosted his stake in Dow Chemical. Its shares fell 0.5 percent Thursday to $52.22 a share.
