Post (NYSE: POST) fell more than 21 percent after the company reported a loss for the quarter.

The net loss for the quarter was $35.1 million, or $0.92 per share, compared with profit of $3.4 million, or $0.03, a year earlier.

Post has agreed to purchase American Blanching in an all-cash deal for $125 million. The transaction is expected to be completed in Q1 of FY 2015.

Shares traded recently at $35.93, down 19.2 percent.
