Ford Shows 9.6% Increase in July Sales

Shares of Ford F are volatile during Friday’s session as investors price in July results.

Sales are up 9.6 percent year over year, following a 5.8 percent drop in June. Lincoln brand continues to lead the way with 13.6 percent more sales than the same month last year and. Ford brand sales are up 9.4 percent.

Despite the widespread decline in sales, Ford’s Fusion saw the best June since its launch in 2005. Sales rose 13.5 percent since the same period last year. Other notable vehicles are the Fiesta and Mustang, whose sales dropped by 31.1 percent and 17.4 percent, respectively.

Specifically, Ford showed a massive increase in large vehicle sales. Explorer and Expedition sales, for example, are up 31.8 and 59.3 percent, respectively.

Shares of Ford were last trading up 0.12 percent at $17.26. After selling off 1.6 percent in premarket trading, shares of Ford were last up 0.4 percent to $17.08.
