CHTR today announced that Christianna Lewis Barnhart will join the Company as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, effective July 14th. In this role, Barnhart will work alongside the Government Affairs team to oversee regulatory strategy for the company. Barnhart will be based in the company's Washington, D.C. office and will report to Alex Hoehn-Saric, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs.
"Christianna's wide-ranging knowledge of telecommunications regulations will be a tremendous asset to Charter," said Hoehn-Saric. "Christianna is an ideal choice to advance Charter's regulatory policies and will immediately play a significant role in managing the Company's interaction with agency officials and monitoring regulatory proceedings."
Most recently, Barnhart managed the universal service rural health care program in the Telecommunications Access Policy Division at the Federal Communications Commission. Barnhart held several positions with the FCC since 2011. Prior to joining the FCC, Barnhart served as Legislative Counsel at Bernstein Strategy Group and Associate at Finnegan, Henderson, LLP.
Barnhart holds an MBA and a JD from American University in Washington, D.C. and a BA from James Madison University.
