NTELOS Holdings (NASDAQ: NTLS) shares jumped 19.52% to $14.41. Sprint (NYSE: S) and NTELOS extended their strategic network alliance through 2022. NTELOS also lowered its FY14 adjusted EBITDA forecast to $128 million to $135 million, versus its earlier forecast of $140 million to $150 million.

Brady (NYSE: BRC) rose 12.86% to $27.38 after the company reported better-than-expected FQ3 results.

Sanchez Energy (NYSE: SN) shares gained 12.65% to $32.51 after the company announced its plans to buy oil and gas properties in the Eagle Ford trend of South Texas from Royal Dutch Shell Plc for around $639 million in cash.

Perry Ellis International (NASDAQ: PERY) rose 10.48% to $16.34 after the company reported upbeat first-quarter results and raised its FY15 earnings forecast.

Semtech (NASDAQ: SMTC) climbed 8.66% to $25.22 on upbeat quarterly results.

Dollar Tree (NASDAQ: DLTR) gained 8.14% to $54.07 after the company reported Q1 earnings of $0.67 per share on revenue of $2.0 billion and narrowed its FY14 outlook.

GTT Communications (NYSE: GTT) gained 6.23% to $8.36 after the company priced public offering of 3 million shares at $7.75 per share.

Williams-Sonoma (NYSE: WSM) rose 6.10% to $67.62 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter earnings. Williams-Sonoma's quarterly profit surged to $0.48 per share versus $0.40 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.44 per share. Its revenue climbed to $974.3 million versus $887.8 million.

Hess (NYSE: HES) jumped 2.07% to $91.15 after Marathon Petroleum (NYSE: MPO) agreed to acquire Hess retail unit for $2.87 billion.
