J.P. Morgan to Help Manage $12B Fixed Income Portfolio for Resolution Life

Resolution Life Holdings, Inc. (“Resolution Life”), the specialist U.S. life insurance business, today announced that it has entered into a strategic investment partnership with J.P. Morgan Asset Management. J.P. Morgan Asset Management will provide Resolution Life with strategic support around the implementation of its multi-manager portfolio investment strategy and will help manage its $12 billion fixed income investment portfolio. Resolution Life's investment portfolio is expected to grow as additional life insurance businesses are brought onto its platform. “After a thorough review we have selected J.P. Morgan Asset Management as a strategic investment partner given their insurance expertise and breadth of investment capabilities,” said Resolution Life CEO Weldon Wilson. The partnership represents a comprehensive investment management relationship that includes fixed income portfolio management, asset liability management and product hedging, asset allocation strategy and investment accounting and reporting support. “We are very pleased to be working with Resolution Life and supporting its team as it builds a diversified portfolio across a range of asset classes and strategies,” said Matt Malloy, Head of Global Insurance Solutions for J.P. Resolution Life has established a permanent capital structure that aligns its long-term commitment to the U.S. market with the investment horizon of its institutional investors and the duration of underlying life insurance policies. The company recently closed its inaugural transaction, acquiring Lincoln Benefit Life from Allstate Life Insurance Company.
