today reported first quarter 2014 domestic coke production is expected to be 944 thousand tons, down an estimated 108 thousand tons versus the same prior year period. This year-over-year decline reflects approximately 64 thousand tons of lower production at our Indiana Harbor facility due to the combined impact of severe winter weather and the significant refurbishment effort underway at this plant. The extreme winter weather, which impacted charge weights and yield, drove nearly 40 thousand tons of lower production at our Haverhill and Granite City operations collectively. Domestic capacity utilization in first quarter 2014 is estimated to be 90 percent, as compared to 101 percent in the same prior year period.
