Alcoa
AA
shares are dipping this morning as world markets are falling across the board. The company announced after the close on Thursday that it had elected Carol Roberts to its board, increasing its size from 11 to 12, but this doesn't appear to be the catalyst. At the time of this report, Aluminum was down 1.12 percent to $1,763, possibly dragging the name down. Its also important to note that over the last 9 sessions, shares had gained over 18 percent, increasing the possibility that some holders may be looking to take profits on the name. Alcoa shares had dipped a little over 1.5 percent, below $12 on very strong pre-market volume at the time of this report.
