Hearing Market Chatter of AstraZeneca Bid for Forest Labs
Shares of Forest Labs (NYSE: FRX) spiked higher Tuesday on market chatter of a potential bid from AstraZeneca.
Spokespersons for Forest Labs and AstraZeneca were not available for comment.
Forest Labs closed Tuesday at $56.44, a gain of $.12.
NRG Yield to Acquire Energy Systems for $120M in Cash
NRG Yield (NYSE: NYLD) has agreed to acquire the assets of privately held Energy Systems Company for $120 million in cash. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2013.
NRG Yield closed Tuesday at $36.69, a gain of 1.5%.
Report BJ's Wholesale Club Interested in Hess Gas Stations
Privately held BJ's Wholesale Club has expressed interest in acquiring Hess' (NYSE: HES) gas stations, according to the Wall Street Journal. Hess owns more than 1,300 gas stations.
A spokesperson for Hess could not confirm the report. A BJ's spokesperson was not available for comment. CVC Capital Partners and Leonard Green & Partners are the private equity owners of BJ's
Hess closed Tuesday at $81.15, a gain of $0.24.
