Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL) shares are now flirting with the $33 level after opening at $32.62. The stock is down 0.1 percent at last check.

The company announced early Thursday morning the purchase of Compendium, a cloud-based content marketing provider that helps companies plan, produce and deliver engaging content across multiple channels throughout their customers' lifecycle.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
