has raised its bid for Onyx Pharmaceuticals

to $130 per share. A June 30 bid of $120 per share from Amgen was rejected by Onyx. To date, that is the only official offer for Onyx. Spokespersons for Amgen and Onyx declined comment on the rumor. Onyx Pharmaceuticals closed at $132.02 Tuesday, a loss of 1% on lower than average volume.
