US Stock Futures Rise After Upbeat Apple Results

US stock futures are higher this morning, after upbeat earnings from Apple

. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 19 points to 15,532.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 3.10 points to 1,691.40. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 24.50 points to 3,050.50. US stocks closed mostly lower on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.14% to 15,567.74, the S&P 500 index dropping 0.19% to 1,692.39 and the Nasdaq 100 index falling 0.59% to 3,579.27. The MBA purchase applications index will be released at 7:00 a.m. ET, while the Markit PMI manufacturing index (flash) for July will be released at 8:58 a.m. ET. Data on new home sales for June will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET, while the EIA weekly report on petroleum inventories will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET. Apple

issued weak revenue forecast for the third quarter. Ford Motor Co

is expected to report its Q2 earnings at $0.37 per share on revenue of $35.24 billion. Pepsico

is estimated to post its Q2 earnings at $0.14 per share on revenue of $1.62 billion. Visa

is expected to post its Q3 earnings at $1.80 per share on revenue of $2.89 billion. The Boeing Company

is projected to report its Q2 earnings at $1.58 per share on revenue of $20.78 billion. Caterpillar

is expected to report its Q2 earnings at $1.70 per share on revenue of $14.92 billion. Eli Lilly and Company
