India's current-account deficit declined in the first three months of the year. India's current-account deficit came in at $18.1 billion, or 3.6% of GDP, in the same period, versus $32.6 billion, or 6.7% of GDP, in the October-December quarter, according to data from the Reserve Bank of India. For the financial year ended March 31, the current-account deficit came in at $87.8 billion, or 4.8% of GDP, versus $78.2 billion, or 4.2% of GDP, in the year-ago period.
