today announced that it commenced a public offering of 8,000,000 common shares. SIR expects to use the net proceeds from this offering to repay amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility and for general business purposes including property acquisitions. It is contemplated that the underwriters will also be granted a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 1,200,000 common shares. BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, UBS Investment Bank, Wells Fargo Securities and RBC Capital Markets are the joint book running managers for the offering.
