US Stock Futures Signal Higher Start On Wall Street

US stock futures are higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 52 points to 15,260.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 6.70 points to 1,645.30. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 11.50 points to 2,992.00. US stocks closed higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average surging 1.38% to 15,248.12, the S&P 500 index rising 1.28% to 1,643.38 and the Nasdaq 100 index gaining 1.32% to 3,469.22. has agreed to buy Waze for around $1.1 billion, Bloomberg News reported. AstraZeneca PLC

announced its plans to buy Pearl Therapeutics for up to $1.15 billion. Amira Nature Foods

is estimated to report its Q4 earnings at $0.24 per share on revenue of $133.94 million. Camelot Information Systems

is expected to post a Q1 loss at $0.03 per share on revenue of $62.94 million. Lululemon Athletica

is projected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.30 per share on revenue of $341.07 million. Diamond Foods

is projected to report its Q3 earnings at $0.22 per share on revenue of $77.75 million. European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.02%, London's FTSE 100 index gained 1.30%, French CAC 40 Index gained 0.02% and German DAX 30 index rose 0.94%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 4.94%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rising 0.18% and India's Sensex gaining 0.26%.
