KBR Awarded $145M Alliance Contract for Australian Road and Rail Project

today announced that it has been selected by VicRoads, in an alliance agreement with John Holland, Metro Trains Melbourne and Public Transport Victoria, to provide engineering design services for the US$145 million Mitcham Road and Rooks Road Rail Separation Project located in Victoria, Australia. KBR's design services include preliminary design, detailed engineering design and technical advice during construction. The project will provide long-term improvements to public transport and road network efficiencies at two of Victoria's busiest rail crossings. Proposed work involves grade separation of Rooks and Mitcham roads from the railway, replacement of 1.8 km rail track, and construction of a new premium station.
