US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 18 points to 14,473.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.60 points to 1,558.30. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 4.50 points to 2,806.75.
US stocks closed mostly lower on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropping 0.23% to 14,526.16, the S&P 500 index falling 0.06% to 1,562.85 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 0.12% to 3,256.52.
A final estimate of Q4 GDP and weekly jobless claims data will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Chicago PMI for March and the Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET. The EIA weekly report on natural gas stocks will be released at 10:30 a.m. ET, while the Kansas City Fed manufacturing index for March will be released at 11:00 a.m. ET.
