A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

US stock futures are mostly flat this morning, as investors are awaiting housing data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 4 points to 14,397.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.90 points to 1,548.10. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 0.75 points to 2,789.00.

European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.36%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.34%, French CAC 40 Index fell 0.80% and German DAX 30 index declined 0.50%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average surging 2.03%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.78% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 tumbling 0.46%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index dropped 0.19% and India's Sensex tumbled 1.48%.

Analysts at Bank of America downgraded Radioshack

from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for Radioshack has been raised from $3.50 to $4. Radioshack shares fell 2.44% to $3.60 in pre-market trading.
