US stock futures are higher this morning, as investors are awaiting economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 49 points to 14,282.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 5.60 points to 1,542.80. Nasdaq 100 futures climbed 6.50 points to 2,804.75.
A Peek Into Global Markets
European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index surged 0.20%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.38%, French CAC 40 Index rose 0.23% and German DAX 30 index surged 1.08%. Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 2.13%, China's Shanghai Composite surging 0.90% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.84%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.96% and India's Sensex climbed 0.57%.
