US stock futures are lower this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 34 points to 14,040.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 4.30 points to 1,512.30. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 7 points to 2,741.75.

US stocks closed slightly higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.25% to 14,089.66, the S&P 500 index rising 0.23% to 1,518.20 and the Nasdaq 100 index climbing 0.30% to 3,169.74.

Transocean (NYSE: RIG) swung to a profit in the fourth quarter.

Tech Data (NASDAQ: TECD) is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.76 per share on revenue of $7.22 billion. Arena Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ARNA) is expected to post a Q4 loss at $0.03 per share on revenue of $21.94 million. Ascena Retail Group (NASDAQ: ASNA) is projected to post its Q2 earnings at $0.23 per share on revenue of $1.23 billion.

ABM Industries (NYSE: ABM) is projected to post its Q1 earnings at $0.22 per share on revenue of $1.17 billion. Yingli Green Energy Holding Co (NYSE: YGE) is expected to post a Q4 loss at $0.55 per share on revenue of $366.38 million. Quad/Graphics (NASDAQ: QUAD) is projected to post its Q4 earnings at $0.92 per share on revenue of $1.13 billion.

Casella Waste Systems (NASDAQ: CWST) is expected to post a Q3 loss at $0.16 per share on revenue of $114.75 million. Boyd Gaming (NYSE: BYD) is projected to report a Q4 loss at $0.13 per share on revenue of $635.37 million. Stratasys (NASDAQ: SSYS) is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.38 per share on revenue of $52.83 million.

European markets were lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index fell 0.26%, London's FTSE 100 Index dropped 0.55%, French CAC 40 Index tumbled 0.05% and German DAX 30 index declined 0.58%.

Asian markets ended mostly lower, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average gaining 0.40%, China's Shanghai Composite falling 3.65% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 dropping 1.42%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index declined 1.50% and India's Sensex fell 0.21%.

Gold for delivery in April gained $4.30 to $1,576.60 an ounce.

The ICE dollar index rose 0.12% to trade at 82.37, up from 82.265 in late North American trading on Friday.
