US Stock Futures Flat Ahead Of Time Warner Earnings
US stock futures are mostly flat this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings from Time Warner (NYSE: TWX). Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 11 points to 13,921.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 0.10 points to 1,506.00. Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 2.25 points to 2,747.00.
US stocks closed higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 0.71% to 13,979.30, the S&P 500 index rising 1.04% to 1,511.29 and the Nasdaq 100 index surging 1.29% to 3,171.58.
The MBA purchase applications index will be released at 7:00 a.m. ET.
Time Warner is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.10 per share on revenue of $8.25 billion. Coventry Health Care (NYSE: CVH) is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.67 per share on revenue of $3.51 billion. Ralph Lauren (NYSE: RL) is projected to report its Q3 earnings at $2.19 per share on revenue of $1.85 billion.
News Corp (NASDAQ: NWSA) is estimated to post its Q4 EPS at $0.42 on revenue of $9.27 billion. IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE) is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.75 per share on revenue of $322.05 million. CVS Caremark (NYSE: CVS) is projected to report its Q4 earnings at $1.10 per share on revenue of $31.13 billion.
Visa (NYSE: V) is expected to post its Q1 EPS at $1.79 on revenue of $2.82 billion. The Allstate (NYSE: ALL) is estimated to post a Q4 loss at $0.05 per share on revenue of $6.55 billion. Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU) is estimated to post its Q4 EPS at $1.74 on revenue of $12.86 billion. Wyndham Worldwide (NYSE: WYN) is expected to report its Q4 earnings at $0.60 per share on revenue of $1.06 billion.
Zynga (NASDAQ: ZNGA) narrowed its fourth-quarter net loss.
The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) reported a better-than-expected first-quarter profit.
European markets were mostly higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.25%, London's FTSE 100 Index gained 0.40%, German DAX 30 Index rose 0.01% and French CAC 40 Index dropped 0.23%.
Asian markets ended mostly higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average jumping 3.77%, China's Shanghai Composite surging 0.06% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index rising 0.77%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 0.47% and India's Sensex dropped 0.10%.
The ICE dollar index (DXY) gained 0.19% to trade at 79.68, up from 79.504 on Tuesday.
The US dollar gained 0.01% against the Japanese yen to trade at ¥93.65.
