US stock futures are lower this morning, as investors are awaiting earnings from Goldman Sachs Group

. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 37 points to 13,426.00 and S&P 500 index futures fell 3.60 points to 1,461.60. Nasdaq 100 futures declined 1.25 points to 2,713.00. US stocks closed slightly higher on Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.20% to 13,534.89, the S&P 500 index gaining 0.11% to 1,472.34 and the Nasdaq 100 index dropping 0.22% to 3,110.78. The consumer price index for December will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET, while industrial production data for December will be released at 9:15 a.m. ET. NAHB housing market index for January will be released at 10:00 a.m. ET. The Fed's Beige Book will be released at 2 p.m. ET. The dollar dropped 0.72% against the Japanese yen to trade at ¥88.14, down from ¥88.92 in late Tuesday. The euro declined 0.03% against the greenback to $1.3301, versus $1.3313. Crude-oil futures for February delivery gained $0.12 to $93.40 a barrel in electronic trading.
