Boeing Boosts Dividend and Resumes Buyback

said it would increase its dividend on Monday, raising it to $0.485 from $0.44 per share. The company also said it would resume its buyback operation, pledging to buy about $1.5-2 billion worth of stock. This buyback would be conducted under a program authorized back in 2007. Boeing's ex-dividend date (the last day investors can purchase shares and still receive a dividend) is February 15. The announcement did little to change the stock. In the after-hours session, shares were little changed. On Monday, Boeing closed at $74.65, up 0.85 percent. Over the last month, shares are up about 5.50 percent.
