Top Narrow Based Indexes For December 3, 2012
By 10:20 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 10.15 points, or 0.08%, to 13,035.73, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 3.06 points, or 0.22%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 9.70 points, or 0.32%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are driving the markets are Geothermal Stocks, which have gained 2.3%, Personal Computer and Smartphone Stocks, up 1.8%, and France Stocks and ADRs, moving 1.6% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Geothermal complex, U.S. Geothermal (AMEX: HTM) had surged 10%. U.S. Geothermal shares have dropped 14.63% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 12.66% in the same period.
The best performing Tickerspy Personal Computer and Smartphone stock has been Dell (NASDAQ: DELL), which was up 7.8%. Analysts at Goldman Sachs upgraded Dell from “sell” to “buy.” The target price for Dell has been raised from $9 to $13.
