Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) may select a third supplier for its iPad mini panels, due to low production from AU Optronics (NYSE: AUO), according to Digitimes.

LG Display (NYSE: LGD) and AUO are the main suppliers of panels for the iPad mini.
