Carlos Slim's América Móvil to Launch Netflix-type Service Claro Video in Mexico
América Móvil (NYSE: AMX) will launch its own Netflix(NASDAQ: NFLX)-style streaming video service, Claro Video, in Mexico on Friday, according to FT. The Claro Video service will cost will cost about $5 per month, about 35% cheaper than Netflix.
Claro Video is expected to be available in all of Latin America by the end of 2013.
