Nestle Sales Surge 11%

reported an 11% rise in its total sales for the first nine months of the year. Nestle's sales for the period surged to 67.57 billion Swiss francs, beating analysts' estimates of CHF67.3 billion. In Europe, sales growth slowed to 1.9% from 2.4%, while sales growth in Americas dropped to 5.5% from 5.7%. Nestle shares closed at $67.48 yesterday.
