Wal-Mart de Mexico Sales Surge 15.3% In September

Wal-Mart de Mexico SAB (OTC: WMMVY) reported a 15.3% rise in its sales in September.

Its sales for the month surged to 33.16 billion pesos ($2.59 billion). Walmex's total Mexican sales for the month climbed 15.7%, to MXN28.83 billion. On a comparable-store basis, sales in the country gained 10%.

For the first nine months of the year, Walmex's total sales surged 12.4% y/y to MXN293.12 billion.

Walmex's shares gained 0.83% to close at $29.04 yesterday.
