PriceSmart Reports September Same Store Sales Increase 10%

PriceSmart, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSMT) today announced that for the month of September 2012 net sales increased 14.1% to $167.0 million, from $146.3 million in September a year earlier. There were 29 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of both September 2012 and September 2011. For the four weeks ended September 30, 2012, comparable warehouse sales for the 28 warehouse clubs open at least 13 1/2 full months increased 10.0%, compared to the same four-week period last year. PriceSmart plans to release fiscal year 2012 financial results on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, after the market closes.
