Australia posted a wider trade deficit in August. The country's trade deficit widened to 2.02 billion Australian dollars ($2.06 billion) in the month, versus A$1.53 billion in July, according to Australian Bureau of Statistics. Australia's exports declined 3% to A$24.5 billion, while imports fell 1% to A$26.6 billion. However, economists were projecting a trade deficit of A$685 million.
