Asian markets ended higher, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average rising 1.73%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.28% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.80%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 1.10% and India's Sensex rose 0.82%.
