Walmex August Sales Up 10.5%

reported a 10.5% y/y rise in its sales in August. Its sales for the month climbed to 33.46 billion pesos ($2.57 billion). On a comparable-store basis, sales in the country climbed 4.1% y/y. For the first eight months of the year, its total sales surged 12% y/y to MXN259.96 billion. Walmex shares dropped 0.95% to close at $27.18 yesterday.
