UMC Sales Surge 19.5% In August

Taiwan's United Microelectronics

reported a 19.5% y/y rise in its August sales. UMC's sales climbed to T$9.8 billion ($327 million) in the month. Its sales climbed 1.9% versus the previous month. UMC shares rose 0.40% to $2.00 in after-hours trading.
