Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.77% and India's Sensex rose 0.19%.

from “hold” to “underperform.” The target price for VIVUS has been lowered from $31 to $16. VIVUS shares dropped 2.09% to $22.08 in pre-market trading.
