DuPont Statement on Titanium Dioxide Demand Outlook

The following is a statement from BC Chong, president of DuPont Titanium Technologies, on the titanium dioxide market outlook for 2012.

"Recent comments regarding market demand for titanium dioxide in the second half of 2012 are not consistent with DuPont's view and overstate the softness in the pigment industry. We expect demand for titanium dioxide to be stronger than that of ore due in part to changes in inventory levels. We remain confident in our titanium dioxide outlook for the rest of the year and longer term, and our team will continue to stay close to the market and our customers," stated Chong.

DuPont will provide additional perspective when it reports second quarter earnings results on July 24.
