Smartphone Shipments Could Top 1.5 Billion in 2012
Between Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL), Nokia (NYSE: NOK), Research in Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM), Samsung, and other manufacturers, a mind-boggling number of smartphones were shipped in 2012.
According to Bloomberg, 398.4 million smartphones were shipped in the first quarter alone.
At that rate, full-year smartphone shipments could top 1.5 billion.
