A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are slightly higher this morning. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 6 points to 12,814.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 2.30 points to 1,358.70. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 1.50 points to 2,611.25.

A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were higher today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index rose 0.94%, London's FTSE 100 Index surged 0.58% and German DAX 30 index rose 1.12%.

Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.04%, China's Shanghai Composite gaining 0.03% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rising 0.89%. India's Sensex dropped 0.18%.

Broker Recommendation Analysts at Citigroup downgraded Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) from “buy” to “neutral.” The target price for Archer Daniels Midland has been lowered from $38 to $32.

Archer Daniels Midland shares gained 1.30% to close at $29.52 on Friday.
