Mercedes-Benz Car Sales Rise In May

Daimler AG's (OTC: DDAIF) core Mercedes-Benz Cars division reported a 3.1% y/y rise in global sales to 122,600 cars in May.

The division's sales in the first five months of the year gained 8% y/y to 577,378 cars. Mercedes-Benz brand sales rose 4% to 113,136 cars in May. However, Mercedes-Benz brand car sales in the first five months climbed 8.4% to 531,382 vehicles.

Daimler shares closed at $43.74 yesterday.
