German Composite PMI Drops In May

Private-sector activity in Germany contracted in May, according to a preliminary purchasing managers index released by Markit. German composite PMI declined to 49.6, versus 50.5 in April. The German services PMI came in at 52.2 in May, while manufacturing PMI dropped to 45.0.
