Bill Gross Calls Facebook a "Bubble"

Pacific Investment Management co-founder Bill Gross spoke out on
Twitter
today about Facebook
FB
, saying "Go #Facebook! I don't know how to use it but I know a bubble when I see one!!!" Gross' line echoes the one used by former Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court Potter Stewart who, when discussing pornography, said that it's hard to define but "I know it when I see it". Perhaps that is what Gross means; Facebook has a huge presence on the internet and brings in a lot of money for the people that control it, it is vacuous and ultimately (possibly) damaging for the youth of America. The parallels to porn are hard to ignore. Regardless, Gross hasn't been so successful by accident. He usually knows what he's talking about and, if he says he has spotted a bubble, he is at least worth paying attention to.
