Gloucester Coal Posts Surge In Output

Australia's Gloucester Coal Ltd

reported a strong rise in its production in the financial third quarter. Gloucester's mines produced around 1.28 million metric tons, up from 342,000 tons, in the year-ago period. Sales of metallurgical coal climbed to 570,000 tons, from 196,000 tons, while sales of thermal coal jumped to 796,000 tons from 300,000 tons.
