Shares of Derma Sciences Inc (NASDAQ: DSCI) dropped about 2% after the company announced its plans to acquire MedEfficiency Inc, manufacturer of the TCC-EZ™ Total Contact Cast system, for $14.5 million in cash.

Shares of Tompkins Financial Corporation (NYSE: TMP) dropped about 1.3% after the company priced a registered public offering of 875,000 shares of its common stock at $40.00 per share.

Shares of NeoStem Inc (AMEX: NBS) declined about 21.7% after the company reported that it intends to offer and sell shares of its common stock and warrants in an underwritten public offering.

Shares of PetroChina Co Ltd (NYSE: PTR) fell about 1.8% after the company reported a 5% drop in its net profit last year. PetroChina's net profit for the 12 months ended December 31 dropped to CNY132.96 billion (US$21.07 billion), versus CNY139.99 billion in 2010. However, analysts were expecting a net profit of CNY138.58 billion. PetroChina's revenue surged 37% to CNY2.004 trillion from CNY1.465 trillion.
