The International Air Transport Association (IATA) lowered its estimates for airlines' net profit in 2012.
IATA now projects a 2012 combined net profit of $3 billion, versus its earlier forecast of $3.5 billion. It expects passenger demand to rise 4.2% in 2012, versus its earlier forecast of 4%.
